Four Seasons Construction to Start in December

We previously heard that the Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts were coming to the Walt Disney World Resort, opening as early as 2010, but now we have more details and a projected opening in 2014.  Construction of this complex will begin this December.  This development will include a 444-room Four Seasons Resort plus as many as 90 Four Seasons private residences and 40 Four Seasons Residence Club units. There will be a 14,000 square foot spa, fitness center, three pools, a lazy river, sports facilities, recreational centers and meeting rooms.  Several dining venues are planned, including a rooftop restaurant with views of the Magic Kingdom.

Four Seasons will retain a 30% ownership interest in the property and will run the resort.  This development is being build at the location of the Osprey Ridge golf course, which is within Disney’s Golden Oak residential community.  Osprey Ridge will be renovated and managed by Four Seasons.
