California Here We Come! Today we take a trip to California to visit Disneyland, California Adventure and then wind down in San Diego. Why don’t you come along!
While visiting Disneyland there are many hotels to choose from but the Disneyland Hotel is where we will be. It’s a perfect place to hang your ears! From the newly refurbished rooms, renovated pool area, expanded courtyards, various restaurants and convenient access to the parks and Downtown Disney, this hotel is a vacationland in itself. With accommodations from the standard room to the signature suite and from standard to premium views there is bound to be a room that fits your needs as well as your budget. Relax with a tropical drink while the kids splash around in the new pool area featuring water slides for extra fun! Its a great way to take a break but don’t forget to check out the great dining they offer as well. From poolside to formal dining and everything in between, there is something to satisfy everyone’s taste buds. Feel like getting a little goofy? That’s right, have breakfast or dinner at Goofy’s kitchen and let Goofy and his gang be part of your experience, it’s bound to be fun!
Time to visit the parks! Disneyland has something for everyone! There are several “lands” you can visit so whether you’re feeling adventurous in Adventureland, rugged in Frontierland or just taking your critter to Critter Country there are attractions, shows, shopping and dining throughout the park. Want more…maybe something bigger? How about one of Disneyland’s many tour options? You can follow in magical footsteps while taking in Walt’s history, discover magic with an interactive tour or go behind the scenes with a VIP tour. Let’s not forget that there are also special tours and shows depending on the time of year you’re traveling. Last, but certainly not least, the “can’t miss” shows, parades and fireworks have to make the long list of to-dos while visiting this magical place!
Now let’s take a stroll over to California Adventure where the fun continues. What’s that I smell? Could it be an orange grove, maybe pine trees? Oh, it’s both and much more when I enter my favorite ride…Soaring! But we can’t forget about all the other amazing rides and games. Whether you enjoy the many rides they have to offer, feel like just stroll the streets for those special shops, taking in the many shows or just grabbing a bit to eat, you are bound to find what works for you. Update…California Adventure is getting ready to welcome in a new land! That’s right, they are reeving up for Cars Land which will be opening in 2012 with 12 acres filled with new rides, shopping and dining experiences.
Road trip down to San Diego for more fun! We have decided to stay at Paradise Point Resort and Spa, a private 44 acres island nestled in Mission Bay. From its true spa decor and beautiful pool and beach area, this resort will take your breath away. There is so much to offer that you could spend the days just relaxing and enjoying all the on-site amenities this resort has to offer, but wait. Let’s see what else we could do in the area.
Is that Shamu I hear calling you? Sea World is just one place to spend your time while is southern California. Feed the dolphins and stingrays, take in the many shows they offer including the famous Shamu shows. Feeling like you want a more hands on experience? Check out their tours or interaction programs. If swimming with a dolphin is on your bucket list then you can cross it off while visiting Sea World!
If water animals aren’t your thing, you can stay grounded when you visit all the animals at the San Diego Zoo or Safari Park. Explore the many animal exhibits at your own pace, hop on the African Tram for the Safari, go behind the scenes or even have a sleep over! I am sure the zoo keeper won’t mind your extra little animals visiting!
