When I asked my 7 year old niece what she wanted for Christmas, she immediately replied “a trip to Disney World!”. She’s never been there before, but knows she’s love it. This is the case with so many, both young and old. Disney World is that magical place where dreams really do come true.
If you’ve never been to Disney World, you don’t know what you’ve been missing. You can do it all or nothing at all. With four theme parks, two water parks and a variety of resorts to appeal to nearly every taste and budget, a Walt Disney World vacation truly has something for everyone.
Walt Disney World offers a range of packages that makes booking your vacation easy and convenient. With packages as simple as just room and tickets all the way up to a platinum package which includes spa treatments, golf, and more, the choice is yours.
The most common Disney package is the Magic Your Way Plus Dining package. This package includes your room, tickets, and the Disney Dining Plan. Under the Disney Dining Plan, each person in your room will receive one snack, one quick-service meal, and one table-service meal per night of your stay. Note that this is per night of your stay, not per day. A 6 night/7 day trip would net you 6 snacks, 6 quick-service meals, and 6 table-service meals per person. Each person will also receive 1 refillable mug to use during the length of your vacation. The best feature of the dining package is that you don’t have to worry about creating a food budget; your meals are pre-paid. Note that gratuities and alcoholic beverages are not included in the dining plan, so be sure to budget accordingly.
Curious to know how much this package would cost? It’s surprisingly reasonable. Assuming a family of four, 2 adults and 2 children (ages 10 and 6 for the purpose of this sample), staying in a standard room at my all-time favorite moderate resort, Port Orleans Riverside, from June 3-9, 2012, including 6-day park hopper tickets, the total would be $3681.29. Note that this price is a price quote only and is not guaranteed until the time of booking.
Want to add more or less to your package? Want to have 3 table-service meals per day instead of just one? Sounds like the Deluxe Dining Plan is for you! Want to have shows, spa treatments, etc. included in your package? The Premium or Platinum package is your best option. Want to have a package that includes just tickets, or not have to worry about setting up so many dining reservations in advance? The basic Magic Your Way Package is for you. All of this can be done, and more!
Working with a travel agent for your Walt Disney World takes all the stress of planning out of it. Not only will I assist you with booking the best package for you and your family, but I will also continuously monitor your reservation for discounts. If a discount comes up for your vacation dates, I will automatically apply it to your reservation. I will also assist you in booking your dining reservations and help you with itinerary planning.
Happy Disney trip planning!
