Disney Cruise Line Opens New Options for 2013

On Tuesday, Disney Cruise Line® announced several new itineraries for the Disney Magic® and Disney Wonder®.  Bookings begin online today.

As we have previously suggested, the Disney Magic will return from her home port in Galveston to Barcelona, Spain for a summer of Mediterranean cruises.  This time though we are seeing some new itineraries including ports of call in the Eastern Mediterranean, a very desired option for many Mediterranean cruisers.  The Disney Magic will call on Venice and Dubrovnik on two 12 night itineraries and will call on Turkey and two Greek Isles (Athens & Mykonos) on two additional 12 night itineraries.  She will also offer two 4 night cruises from Barcelona to Villefranche, France and Palma de Malcora, Spain.  The summer will be filled with 7 night Western Mediterranean sailings from Barcelona.

The Disney Wonder will return through the Panama Canal in December 2012 and call Miami, Florida home for the Spring, offering a 6 night and 7 night sailing to complete the year followed by 4 and 5 night sailings to the Western Caribbean and Bahamas.  She will then return through the Panama Canal once again and reposition to Vancouver, British Columbia for 7 night Alaskan Cruises.

So which 2013 itinerary are you most looking forward to?  Have you or will you book one of these sailings?

Traveling with Others

Coming up with a title for this blog was challenging.  I didn’t want people to see a title with the words “Group Travel” and think this is not for them.  What constitutes a group?  According to Dictionary.com, a group is “A number of people or things that are located close together or are considered or classed together.”  This means that when you travel with even just one other person you are a group.

I spent last weekend in Miami with Royal Caribbean International at a travel agent event.  In addition to touring the Oasis of the Seas and Majesty of the Seas, we learned more about RCI and what they have to offer our clients.  We found out a bit more about their groups and realized that all groups are not created equally!  Each cruise line has it’s own policies with regard to groups, but some of them have at least limited benefits down to one cabin on select sailings!

Extra onboard credits, cocktail parties, bottles of wine, cabin upgrades are all some of the benefits you can get when group space is available.  As I mentioned before, some cruise lines are more restrictive and not all cruises qualify for group promotions from the cruise lines.  Some require at least 8 cabins to be considered a group.

We love groups!  Whether you have one room or one hundred, we’re happy to help with all of your group needs.  Contact one of our agents today and ask what we can do for you.  Whether or not the cruise line will offer extra perks for your group, Travel On A Dream will offer a little something extra for groups, starting with only four stateroom!  Contact us today to see what we can do for your group.

You don’t have a group of your own but want to take advantage of a group offering?  Watch our Facebook wall for new groups to be added soon.  Right now we have a 7 night Eastern Caribbean on the Disney Fantasy on October 20, 2012.  We will be adding a Western Caribbean sailing on Oasis of the Seas in the near future for Spring 2013 and once released an Alaskan sailing for early Fall 2013.  Our Alaskan sailing will have a cruisetour option so you can see the land in Alaska as well as seeing the state by sea.  Email info@travelonadream.com to be added to our Group Announcement mailing list.
