Starting today, for travel between June 15 and August 28, you can take advantage of a new promotion from Walt Disney World and Disney Visa.  Discounts are up to 35% depending on resort and length of stay.  If you purchase at least six day tickets and make it a package, you will see additional savings.

While this offer is only available to Disney Visa Cardholders right now, it will be available to the public on Monday, March 17.  Put your request in today with Travel On A Dream and get ready to go to Disney World this summer!

There is so much more to experience at Disney World this summer.  What are you waiting for?

New Disney Visa Offer for Walt Disney World?

This morning we read on that there is a new Disney Visa Card Holder offer for summer room discounts.  What surprised me about this was it said that it started today and Disney Visa offers typically have started on Thursdays or Mondays with the opposite day opening to the public.  Here’s what we found out.

There is no Disney Visa offer today.  The offer will start tomorrow with this opening to the public on Monday, March 17.  It looks like it will be a summer discount.

As usual, we will be on with Disney tomorrow to work on new reservations for our Disney Visa Cardholder clients and the public on Monday.

Put your request in today for your quote here!  If you are a Disney Visa Cardholder, note that on your request so we know to work on that quote tomorrow morning.

New Disney Discounts

Today, Disney World started a new promotion for Disney Visa cardholders.  This promotion is somewhat of a combined room only/package offer with room discounts of up to 30% and discounted tickets with a purchase of at least a 4 day ticket.  There is no minimum number of nights that you must stay to get the room discount and one of the dining plans can be added to a package as well.

This promotion is available for stays from February 18, 2013 to March 23, 2013 and again from April 2, 2013 to June 14, 2013.  The offer will be available to the general public on January 3, 2013.  It must be booked by March 7, 2013 for stays in February and March and by Marcy 31, 2013 for stays in April, May and June.

We have seen lower prices with this promotion off of non-discounted packages and better rates than AAA discounts on room only reservations.  The Play, Stay & Dine offer has been coming back as a better promotion and PIN offers have also been better.  The offer is subject to availability.  If you book with the Disney Visa promotion, a deposit will need to be applied at the time of booking.  Excluded from the promotion are Fort Wilderness campsites, Art of Animation standard rooms (Little Mermaid) and 3 bedroom villas.

Additionally, we are hearing that Disney Cruise Line will release more dates for the Kids Sail Free promotion on January 2, 2013.  With two full-fare guests in the same stateroom for categories 4A to 11B, kids will only pay taxes (approximately $40 – $84 based on cruise length).  Most sailings departing from Galveston, Texas between January 12 and April 26, 2013 will be included in this offer, subject to availability.  The offer excludes suites, category 11C and xGT (guarantee categories with restrictions).

New Disney Visa Offers For Spring in Walt Disney World

We have just heard of two new offers available to Disney Visa Cardholders today. These are supposed to be released to the public next Wednesday (probably would have been Monday if not for the system outage planned for Monday night and Tuesday).

You can save up to 35% when you stay at a Walt Disney World Resort hotel for most nights between January 2 and March 7, 2013.  Disney Visa Cardholders can book this offer between now and October 7.  The offer will become available to the general public on October 10, 2012 and must be booked by December 31, 2012.  The promotion excludes 3 bedroom villas and the Art of Animation Little Mermaid standard rooms.

The second offer, also available to the general public on October 10, 2012, offers savings of up to $600 on a 5-night/6-day page with tickets and dining, also between January 2 and March 7, 2013.  We have seen reports that this is a free dining promotion but it is not.  You are required to have the resort room, tickets and dining plan.  The discount is up to $400 on value resorts and $600 on all other resorts.  Campsites, 3-bedroom villas and the Art of Animation Little Mermaid standard rooms are excluded.

To book either of these promotions now, please contact us at Travel On A Dream.  We need to have your Disney Visa card number at the time of booking to apply the $200 deposit.  It is fully refundable until 45 days prior to travel.

If you don’t have a Disney Visa, the offers will be open to the public on October 1, 2012.  Contact your Travel On A Dream agent today so she is ready to get your booking next Wednesday.  Of course we will always check both offers to make sure you are getting the best deal!

Onboard Credit Offers for Disney Cruise Line

As we expected, Disney Visa has extended their onboard credit promotion to 2013 sailings on the Disney Cruise Line®.  For those who make all payments on their Disney Cruise Line sailing with the Disney Visa or Disney Visa Reward Redemption Card, you will receive a $50 onboard credit from Disney Visa.  This is limited to two staterooms per Disney Visa account.  This offer cannot be combined with any other promotions, such as the onboard booking offer.  It can, however, be combined with the online booking offer, mentioned below, and the offer from Travel On A Dream.

While Disney Visa’s offer says it is for new bookings only, it will be applied to any existing bookings made for 2013 when the offer was not available.

For bookings made online, either directly or by your travel agent, before May 31, 2012, Disney Cruise Line is offering a $25 onboard credit.  Travel On A Dream agents always try to book your reservation online if possible to get you this extra spending money on your cruise.  This offer cannot be combined with any other offers, except for the Disney Visa promotion, if applicable, and the onboard credit offer from Travel On A Dream.

The Good and the Bad From Disney Cruise Line

Yesterday was a great day for Disney Cruise Line when the Disney Dream made her arrival at Port Canaveral.  Here’s one more photo for you from another friend who was at Jetty Park to welcome her in.

Yesterday evening we received some news that initially seemed to be continued good news from Disney Cruise Line.  After further inspection, I don’t believe this is good news.
