Seattle, City Pass, Gluten Free, and a Little Wedding: The Forgotten Tour

One of the Seattle City Pass attractions we toured this summer was the Pacific Science Center.  The description sounded interesting (Pacific Science Center inspires a lifelong interest in science, math and technology by engaging diverse communities through interactive and innovative exhibits ), but it was mostly geared towards families with younger children, so we were left a little bored… with a few exceptions…

Seattle, City Pass, Gluten Free, and a Little Wedding, Day 5, Part 3

Sorry for the delay – I took some time off to get married…

It’s early afternoon on our last full day in Seattle, and we’re starting to feel the exhaustion of non-stop touring settling in.  Luckily, The Museum of Flight is something we’ve been looking forward to, so we soldier on!

One last Fast Pass, I mean City Pass, line (and I realized yesterday that I missed reporting on an entire attraction we did Friday!!! Oops! I’ll get back to that soon!)

Seattle, City Pass, Gluten Free, and a Little Wedding, Day 4, Part 1

THE WEDDING DAY HAS ARRIVED!  MY DAUGHTER IS GETTING MARRIED TODAY!!!

Let’s go do some more touristy stuff first, yeah?

We planned to do the Argosy Harbor Tour this morning because there’s a 9:45 cruise (weekdays the first tour is 11:00) and that gets us back to Tacoma earlier to get ready for the wedding.

I love guided tours – I love that someone else has all the information and rattles it off to me, and if they’re funny and likable, all the better. Ethan does not like guided tours – he doesn’t like that someone else has decided what his level of knowledge will be about this new subject. So I was apprehensive about his enjoyment of this component of our City Pass.

Seattle, City Pass, Gluten Free, and a Little Wedding, Day 2, Part 1

There’s something so wrong about changing time zones and finding yourself up at 5am on the West Coast.  We made it work in our favor by making coffee (lots of coffee) and getting settled in the room, since we were too wiped last night to do much other than unpack the clothes.  We were heading to the Seattle Aquarium this morning, which opened at 9:30.  So it’s back to Downtown Seattle again, the Aquarium is on the water’s edge.

She reminds me of Mike Wazowski – “Look, I AM ON A BILLBOARD!!!”

Seattle, City Pass, Gluten Free, and a Little Wedding, Day 1

In July, my fiance (Ethan) and I had planned a trip out West to attend my oldest daughter’s wedding (Stephani). The original plan had us spending two days in Whistler, Canada, first (Ethan used to manage a beer & wine store in Texas, so he was interested in some wineries in the Whistler area). That plan got scrapped when we did some research and discovered Vancouver, Canada – it looks amazing and was an hour and a half closer! Plus, travel time was tight (we were getting in to Sea/Tac at 2pm and Stephani wanted to meet us for dinner that night.) So the new plan was two days in Vancouver followed by three days in Seattle (Puyallup, actually).
