Our new site combines both our blog and website in one easy to use format.  Since the blog will be there as well, we will no longer be updating this blog site.  Please come visit us at the new site!  We will be adding the ability to subscribe to the blog updates in the near future.

“I’ve always wanted to see ____________________”.  Fill in the blank.  For me, of the places I haven’t been yet I would probably have to add England, Germany, the Baltics among others.  Sure, you can plan a trip to those locations, put together all the hotels, tours, plans, meals.  Or you can do it with little effort on your part with a company known for its hospitality, service excellence and storytelling.

Adventures by Disney® can make it happen for you. Adventures by Disney was created especially for families, with breathtaking guided group vacations spanning six continents—from Alaska to Australia, and from Costa Rica to Canada. With Adventures by Disney, you’ll meet enthralling local experts. Enjoy backstage access, VIP treatment and other exclusive experiences difficult to arrange on your own. And discover incredible adventures for everyone, including special thrills just for kids. You and your fellow travelers are hosted by two Disney-trained Adventure Guides. Best of all, Adventures by Disney will handle the details. So you can spend your time having the time of your life.

Working with your agent from Travel On A Dream, we will help you with all of your plans from the moment you leave home until you arrive back after an amazing adventure.  We can help with your flights, pre and post nights, plus any activities not covered during the tour.  Though nearly everything is covered!  A number of our agents have been on Adventures by Disney tours and all have received training on what sets this vacation experience apart from other tour groups.  We can help to select the right tour for you and your family.

Plans Change – Your Travel Agent Will Help

You’ve been planning a cruise for more than a year.  Everything is perfect.  You have the stateroom you wanted, made all prebooked plans onboard, and all the pre and post cruise plans.  Work has been notified and you are ready to go.  You get the call no one ever wants to get.  “I’m sorry, but we have to cancel your cruise.”

At first you are stunned.  Please tell me this is a joke.  Please wake me and say it was just a bad dream.  But no, it is really happening.  It’s time to make some changes to plans.

If you are like me, you don’t take vacation lightly.  We work hard all year to go on vacation.  The last thing you want is for that to change.

Illness, storms, damage/malfunction of the ship can happen anytime.  This past year we saw the Grandeur of the Seas cancel sailings due to a fire and Celebrity Millennium cancel due to propulsion problems.  There were many disappointed travelers.

This is one of those times that you really wish you had a travel agent working for you, sitting on hold for hours to reschedule your vacation and work out the best option for you.  We are in a better position to take care of this as well.  Your emotions are running higher, you are sad, upset, frantic, you name it.  It’s hard to figure out what is happening much less what you want to do instead.

Last week, we rescheduled guests to other sailings of the Disney Magic, other ships in the Disney fleet and even other cruise lines and Walt Disney World instead of the Disney Magic sailing.

You never know when trouble could happen on a cruise.  Having travel insurance and a great travel counselor on your side makes these situations a bit easier to handle.

Agents From Travel On A Dream Attend Exclusive Disney Conference

Tracy Whipple, Nicole Riley and Erin Kuzmiak from Travel On A Dream were among nearly 500 top-producing travel agency owners, managers and agents who recently gathered at the Walt Disney World Resort for the 2013 Disney’s EarMarked Conference – a program especially designed for agencies with the “Authorized Disney Vacation Planner” designation.

As a conference delegate, Nicole, Erin and Tracy heard from key Disney leaders who shared what’s new and what’s coming soon for Disney vacation destinations.

Travel On A Dream has been in business in Deforest, Wisconsin for three years, and has been designated by Disney Destinations as an “Authorized Disney Vacation Planner” based on its strong support in selling Disney vacations. Their expertise includes Disneyland Resort, Walt Disney World Resort, Disney Cruise Line, Adventures by Disney and Aulani, A Disney Resort & Spa in Ko Olina, Hawai‘i.

Many travel counselors at Travel On A Dream have received training on Disney theme parks, resorts, cruises, vacations packages and more, and can provide the utmost in professional assistance in planning customized Disney vacations. In fact, one reason the agency has been designated an “Authorized Disney Vacation Planner” is that  all of its leisure travel counselors have completed Disney Destinations Genius online training courses, which are in-depth, comprehensive programs that allows agents to develop their expertise in planning Disney vacations.

PhotoPass+

We just got back from our Twincess granddaughters first trip to Disney World. Since this was going to be a special vacation, I ordered Disney’s PhotoPass+.

If you’ve been to Disney World, no doubt you’ve seen photographers throughout the parks who take your photo at prime locations as well as at the character meet and greets. Then there are the attractions where your photo is taken as well as the character meals which offer a souvenir photo package. With the PhotoPass+, every single picture is included.

All of the photos will be accessible to you online and, at the character meals, you’re given the initial group shot they take prior to dining. At the end of our vacation, we had 4 souvenir folders of photos to take with us as well as 122 photos on the PhotoPass.

Once you’re online, you can have some fun with the pictures. There are borders, character autographs, different colorations, etc. that you can add. I put my daughter-in-law in charge and, since each addition creates a new photo as well as keeping the original image, we now have over 200 photos on our CD. It also includes a ton of stock images that you can add to your memories.

Even for a proud Grandma, that’s a lot of pictures. Since the PhotoPass+ includes a release that allows you to get them printed anywhere, I’ll be choosing my favorites to display.

The best part, by ordering ahead of time it was $149 instead of the $199.95 it would cost had we waited until we arrived. (You have to order it a minimum of 2 weeks prior to arrival.)  It’s only $30 more than the regular PhotoPass CD.

While at first glance it may seem $$$, between what the out of pocket cost at just the character meals and attractions would have been, it’s a bargain. Only last year I paid around $20 for just two 4×6 photos of one pose.

Another bonus is that everyone is in the picture!! No one has to be behind the camera. That was our family joke for years. I was never in a photo and my husband was never in the videos.

There isn’t a souvenir that’s better than a picture that captures each amazing moment. Just ask your Travel On A Dream agent to order the PhotoPass+ and you’ll be on your way.
